The Profile of IB:

The IB is the abbreviation of the International Baccalaureate. The International Baccalaureate(IB) develops and offers IB programmes to young people around the world and prepare them for success at university and life beyond. Its aim is to help create a better world through offering high-quality international educational programs.

The IB was established in 1968. It is a non-profit educational foundation registered in UNESCO(United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and a recognized international education pioneer in the world. Currently, there are over 3,968 IB World School with 4972 projects.

The Philosophy of the IB:

The philosophy of the IB is dedicated to cultivating the youth to be inquirers, knowledgeable,and caring citizens, in order to make a better & more peaceful world. Hence, the IB develops uniform curriculum standards and rigorous assessment systems for all of the IB World Schools around the world and encourages students to become active & caring lifelong learners so that they can understand and show respect for diverse cultures.

World Recognition of IB:

Since the IB does not adopt the educational systems from any single country but it takes the best of all educational systems in the world, it is widely recognized the world over and it is considered as the passport to the most prestigious universities such as Harvard University, Yale University, University of Cambridge, and Oxford University.

IB Programme Constitute:

The IB offers three programmes for diverse age groups: the Primary Years Programme (PYP, introduced in 1997), the Middle Years Programme (MYP, introduced in 1994), and the Diploma Programme (DP, introduced in 1969). Three IB programmes are inter-connected but self-contained. With IB authorization, IB World Schools may choose to offer only one IB programme, any combination of two programmes, or all three programmes.

The aim of our IB programmes is "to develop balanced, caring, patriotic, internationally minded, and responsible global citizens."

To achieve that aim, we will integrate IB theories into practice, broaden our educational horizons, integrate diverse cultures, and promote academic excellence. We will help students "learn how conduct themselves well, learn how to work, learn how to learn, and learn how to cooperate". Additionally, we will encourage them to be aggressive lifelong learners who will help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
