In Fall, 2000, there were a lot of sunny days in that season. People from around the world were immersed in a cheerful atmosphere, embracing the coming of a new century. At that moment, a Chinese couple – Mr. Yang De-ming and Ms. Grace Chen Qi, who had been living in the United States for many years, came back to China in order to invest in and establish Chengdu Meishi International School. Their main purpose of investing in education was considered as a great gift given to their motherland and the new century. With full supports from the Meishi Group and Chinese governments at all levels, through almost two-year elaborate planning and hard work day and night, a beautiful and unique campus with a mixed design & style of both the East and the West and with the state-of-the-art facilities came into being. The School was officially opened on September 1, 2002.

Through fifteen years of development, up to date, Chengdu Meishi International is the ONLY IB (International Baccalaureate) Authorized and NCA (North and Central Association of Colleges and Schools) American Accredited School in West China. Chengdu Meishi International School is also the ONLY authorized international school that are able to accept both Chinese and international students in Chengdu.
