CMIS has adopted the Basic California Standards for our Integrated University Preparatory Program’s Elementary School, Grades (1) through Five (5), in order to prepare our students for the rigors of not only the Top Foreign Universities but also for our own Rigorous Diplomas Program including the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma and the North American AP (Advanced Placement) International Diploma. Many of the very Best and Top Ranked Universities in the world are located in the United States and the State of California. In 2009, almost Ten Percent of the World’s Top 100 Ranked Universities were located in California. In order to prepare their students to be able to attend these Top California Universities (Stanford, California Institute of Technology, University of California, Berkley and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and the University of Southern California (USC); the State of California developed a system of education to insure that these students would be able to meet the challenges of these Universities.
